Position Overview
Since 1961 the Flying Longhorns, the travel program of the Texas Exes, has set the bar nation-wide for alumni travel. The travel department is looking for a part time administrator to help the travel team make good on its commitment to unite alumni and friends around the world through international and domestic travel. The travel department offers 85+ trips annually, comprising 1,500 travelers, and the administrator will play an integral role in ensuring our travelers’ success as they prepare to depart, and once they return home. The role is best for someone highly personable, organized, and above all, a team player.
Major Job Functions
- Customer service: Our travelers call, email and sometimes even pop by the office on a daily basis. This person will be part of the team responding to those questions and booking requests in a timely, helpful and knowledgeable manner.
- Travel.texasexes.org website maintenance: Maintaining the current site at a high level and assisting with the migration to a new and improved site platform.
- Operator partner administration and communication. Daily communication with dedicated representatives from our 5-10 operator-partners.
- Digital administrative organization: Work within Texas Exes’ Sharepoint, SalesForce and Asana tools to create, maintain and organize trip logs, image databases, traveler registries and more.
Analogue administrative organization: Work with the department’s director and coordinator to ready final traveler materials for shipment and keep the office on track and organized.
Additional information:
- Part time, 20 hours per week
- Salary: $20 per hour
