Who We Are

The Texas Exes Mexico City Chapter brings together alumni and friends of The University of Texas at Austin living in or visiting Mexico City. We are a Chartered Chapter of the official Texas Exes Alumni Association, working every day to strengthen the Longhorn spirit here in Mexico and beyond.

Our mission: To unite alumni and friends of UT Austin in Mexico City, fostering a strong and engaged community that strengthens the university's presence in Mexico, supports alumni in their personal and professional growth, contributes meaningfully to society, and proudly preserves Longhorn traditions that might otherwise fade away far from Austin.

Whether you’re here to connect with fellow alumni, grow professionally, give back, or simply share your Texas pride, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to open doors.

A Growing Longhorn Community in Mexico

Did you know that we’re now a community of over 500 active Texas Exes in Mexico, including more than 200 in the Mexico City area? And we know there are thousands more out there, waiting to reconnect. That’s why we’ve launched our #BringEmBack campaign, an open invitation for every UT alum and friend to rediscover what it means to be a Longhorn — no matter how far from Austin life has taken them.

Whether you’re here to network, make friends, or celebrate Texas traditions, there’s a place for you in our growing community. If you want to help us grow, share this link with any Longhorn living in Mexico bit.ly/texasexescdmx — you might be the one who helps another Longhorn find their way back home. 🤘

Visiting Mexico City? Welcome to SIGHT 🌎

Whether you’re visiting for a few days or staying longer, our SIGHT (Services for Information, Guidance & Hospitality to Travellers) program helps you experience Mexico City through the warmth and local knowledge of our members. We connect visitors with fellow alumni who can share recommendations, local insights, and sometimes even join for a coffee or weekend plan.
