Our group exists to develop connections to the past, present, and future of UT Austin and between Texas Exes members living in the area by providing fun and meaningful involvement opportunities. Though anyone interested in supporting UT can join in, our activities are geared toward UT Austin alumni who live in New Jersey (We serve the entire state of NJ, except the Philadelphia suburbs). Visitors to the area with an interest in supporting UT Austin and meeting other UT alumni are always welcome to our activities and events.
We are a chapter of UT’s official alumni association, the Texas Exes®, whose mission is to praise, promote, and protect UT Austin and its students; and to unite, inform, and involve Texas Exes members and potential members in the support of UT in particular and of education in general.
We have focused on a few annual activities to meet these objectives, notably raising money and selecting our community’s best and brightest students to receive the funds in the form of scholarship awards. However, we also have networking events, game-watching parties, and several other activities. If you don’t see what you want to do, feel free to volunteer to make more happen! And if you are interested in helping us to do anything already on the calendar, please join in the fun. We are a completely volunteer-run group.
We are a membership-supported organization. Non-Members and friends of UT are always welcome at our events, but we hope that everyone will consider joining (you can use the "button" on the right margin). It wouldn’t be Texas without the Exes!
To get in touch and get involved, please contact the Texas Exes New Jersey Chapter President, Caroline Gosselin, at newjerseychapter@texasexes.org.
