Every February, Texas Exes around the globe participate in Project Worldwide community service projects. This year our chapter volunteered on Saturday, February 8th with two great organizations right here in Katy! A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, and also to our event organizer, Nina Train!

This was our second year to volunteer at The Ballard House! The Mission of The Ballard House is “to provide temporary housing in our community with a warm, safe environment for individuals and their families who are hospitalized or receiving treatment for a serious medical condition.“ Katy Texas Exes made and served brunch, then helped make beds and clean guest rooms.

We held a food drive for KCM in the fall, but this was our first year to include them as part of Project Worldwide! Katy Christian Ministries Resale Stores have a wide selection of new and gently used clothing, furniture and household goods. Sales at the KCM Resale Stores are 40% of their total ministry funding and vital to providing much needed services such as financial assistance, food assistance, and crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Katy Texas Exes sorted donations and helped tidy the racks.
