The mission of the Black Alumni Network is to:

• Identify, inform and involve Black alumni in all aspects of the Texas Exes and the Black Alumni Network;
• Increase the presence of Black matriculants by helping the University recruit and retain the best, the brightest and most deserving Black students from around the state and around the nation; and
• Connect the universe of Black alumni, Black students and UT faculty, with individuals and corporations whose passion for higher education and diversity on the UT campus compels them to action, through Black Alumni networking and scholarships initiatives.
