Ring Award

In 2005, the Texas Exes founded the Ring Award to recognize an outstanding member of the UT community who has made significant contributions to campus life and school spirit. The award recipient is presented with a University of Texas class ring in recognition of their commitment to making a difference on the Forty Acres. 

The award covers the cost of a 10 carat gold men’s or women’s traditional class ring (the addition of a diamond or cubic zirconia is not covered by the award). **$1,000 Value**  

Applications are due Feb. 7, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.

ELIGIBILITY  

To receive the Ring Award, one must meet the following requirements:   

  • Applicant has special circumstances and/or financial need.  
  • Applicant must be currently enrolled at UT Austin.  
  • Applicant must have completed at least 75 hours of classwork (16 hours for graduate students).  
  • Applicant must not have already purchased a class ring.  
  • Applicant must be able to attend Ring Celebration on Friday, April 19.  

 

WHO SHOULD APPLY 

Students who:  

  • Contribute to school spirit and to the university.  
  • Play a part in keeping our campus traditions alive.  
  • Represent excellence in the areas of academics, leadership, and service.  
  • Have financial need or special circumstances.
