Ever since I was a child, I remember constantly being driven by my curiosity. Whether that meant working through puzzles as a kid or disassembling random appliances in my adolescence, I found fulfillment when I could work at interesting, ever-changing problems. As I matured, this passion manifested itself in a love for business and investing. As a student at UT, I have been able to truly realize these passions through classes in the Business Honors Program and involvement in the Texas Undergraduate Investment Team. Apart from purely academic and professional interests, I hope to further pursue educational philanthropy by helping less developed nations solve some of their most complex problems.

What drew you to the Forty Acres Scholars Program (FASP)?

The people were the greatest selling point of the Forty Acres Scholarship Program. The alumni we have the pleasure of meeting demonstrate unprecedented commitment to the University, the Program, and us as students. From famous actors and football players to astronauts and leaders in the business world, the Program does an incredible job of ensuring that all its students get to meet those who have made the school into what it is today. This same notion was carried on with my cohort of scholars as well. Forty Acres takes some of the brightest students from several disciplines across campus and fosters an environment where long-lasting friendships are formed. Being able to call campus home under the guidance of older scholars and the camaraderie of my class has made my experience at the University truly unforgettable.
