Ingredients:
1 cup flour
¼ tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
2 tbsp shortening, melted
Instructions:

Sift together flour and salt. Combine eggs, milk, and shortening.

Gradually add to flour mixture, beating 1 minute or until batter is smooth.

Fill greased, sizzling hot popover pans ¾ full.

Bake 20 minutes at 450 degrees.

Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 15 or 20 minutes more.
Yield: 5 or 6 popovers.
