For as long as I can remember, I have always been obsessed with numbers. I enjoy difficult mental math problems, brain teasers, sudoku puzzles, studying advanced metrics of various professional athletes, or just about anything related to mathematics, probability, statistics, or game theory. In high school, this passion grew stronger as I competed on the math team, took about every math course my school had to offer, and worked as a math tutor for middle and high school students. Concentrating in MIS and BHP has allowed me to apply the problem-solving skills I learned throughout my math courses to an area that is a passion of mine: the intersection between business and technology. I am supplementing this coursework with a second major in mathematics.

Rain or shine, even if that means being in the 100-degree Texas heat, I love being outdoors and staying active. Though my sports career ended in high school, I still love playing and following sports. This includes cheering at any Longhorn sporting event, practicing my not-so-great golf game, working out, or beating my friends in fantasy football.

Traveling has been a huge part of my life. From hiking 14,000-foot Colorado peaks with my family to studying abroad in Buenos Aires and Hong Kong, I am always ready for the next adventure.

What drew you to the Forty Acres Scholars Program (FASP)? 
The Forty Acres Scholars Program is special for a number of reasons. The community of scholars is unique in the sense that you instantly have a tight-knit community immediately upon arriving to campus. I enjoy every chance to spend time with my fellow scholars, whether that be on our yearly retreats, our frequent dinners together, or doing other various fun activities such as hanging out on Lake Austin. FASP also provided me an incredible opportunity to study abroad in both Buenos Aires after my freshman year and Hong Kong last spring.
