Coordinator: Fred H. Ellis
Fred is retired, having spent 45 years in the Service and IT industries. He started out working for Hilton Hotels in various locations, moving to US Airways in 1987, and from there transitioning to SABRE, EDS, and HP through a series of mergers and acquisitions. He has served multiple terms on the Vestry and as Sr. Warden of The Episcopal Church of St. Thomas the Apostle in Dallas, and is currently the chairman of the central convocation, and member of Executive Council, of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. He is a longtime member of HRC and Lambda Legal, and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Turtle Creek Chorale in Dallas.
Fred is a native of Lufkin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas from 1970-1974, was a member of The Longhorn Band, and is a longtime Life Member of the Texas Exes. He currently resides in Dallas.
Duties of the Area Coordinators
- Organize a committee of volunteers to plan and host local events
- Communicate regularly with the Network Chair on upcoming events and activities
- Provide event information to the Network Secretary to be included in the monthly newsletter
- Support the fundraising efforts of the Network
