Madison Gove

Bragging Rights: President of Students for Wema, a club that raises funds and support for a school and orphanage in Bukembe, Kenya; directed a campus benefit for human trafficking survivors

Neal Makkar

Bragging Rights:Organized the largest South Asian dance competition ever held in Texas; led a disc golf tournament that raised $15,000 for scholarships

Coleman Tharpe

About the President’s Leadership Awards

The President’s Leadership Awards were created in 1985 with an endowment from past Texas Exes president Frank Denius. These awards recognize undergraduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership within the student community at The University of Texas. One sophomore, two juniors and three seniors receive the award annually.
